And there are also primary hybrids of them, my favorite grower here has Laelia alaorii x praestans. I nearly bought one last time I ordered.

Yes there are and they are quite beautiful! Thanks for looking for some in Europe!

Wynn Dee13 07-21-2012 12:49 PM

Does anyone have Chaz Smith's email address?

I know it's in one the threads from the last project, I think it's the thread for the 1st poll.

Species suggestions: aerangis, angraecum, or brassavola. Clouds and Paramont has them in Canada, they can be found many places in the US and the aerangis and angraecums can be found nearly everywhere in Europe but only Nardotto Capello seems to have a nice variety of Brassavola. These three (of what is available) categories are narrow enough that the orchids will be similar but varied enough to select one that might be percieved more suitable, easier, fragrant, larger or smaller. The aerangis and angraecums even have miniature or challenging plants for those tired of the mundane. Just a few ideas. I absolutely love the oncidium twinkle idea, though. Where can you find them? I saw a phal eq. alba and I could also go for that option. They are really sweet up close. :)

I have a feeling I've seen that a few places... but really should be getting on with a few real life things. So if anyone feels like finding Twinkles's relatives in the States...

Couldn't resist....

Oncidium Twinkles

EU
Schwerter: 3 colours, BS, 9.95
Orchids and more have several, 8/12

US
Andy's: cheirophorum bs 24
Carolina orchids: cheirophorum $20
Clown Alley: Tsiku Marguerite, $25
Parkside: cheirophorum $18

Canada
Paramount: Choice of 3 red ones, FS $25-28. ornithorynchum fs $28

So... could only find one seller (but with 4 options) in Canada, and only cheirophorum options in budget in US (sure there must be more out there though!)

Does that scrape in?
