Thought I’d research some ones Camille suggested (hope you don’t mind Camille) and add Phal cornu-cervi and hybrids. So far the verdict is:

equestris and hybrids: Not a great deal available in Canada. Someone might want to try kingfisherorchids@gmail.com
Twinkles: None in the US and only one seller in Canada. However I only researched Twinkles, not related species and hybrids, so might be possible if it’s widened.
Tolumnia’s: OK!
Phal cornu-cervi and hybrids: US either unknown size or slightly over price. Canada only one seller… not sure if this gets in!

Phal equestris and hybrids

EU
Elsner: has several hybrids BS and NBS within budget
Schwerter: Multiple hybrids and species, various including BS (and blooming) within budget

US
Clown Alley: equestris alba (FS?) $26, plain equestris ‘smaller plants’ $10
Al’s has hybrids, $25/30 each so over budget
Big Leaf have multiple hybrids, many silly prices! Phal Veitchiana is $20 but a seedling!
Tropical Orchid Farm bs $12

Canada
Paramount: var rosea nfs $25 (limited)
Tropical Gardens: ‘Orange’ $35 bs (over budget…)

Oncidium Twinkles

EU
Schwerter: 3 colours, BS, 9.95
Orchids and more have several, 8/12

US

Canada
Paramount: Choice of 3 red ones, FS $25-28

Tolumnias

EU
Elsner: Tolumnia calochila BS 17
Schwerter: Massive selection BS 9.95

US
Botanica Ltd: Tolumnia sylvestris Mounted division $10
Parkside: multiple hybrids, $18, silvestris $25, variegata $18

Canada
Paramount: Tolu (Mem Ralph Yagi 'Emperor' x Passionata Red) FS $25
Clouds: (listed as onc.) velutinum nbs 25, variegatum bs 25

cornu-cervi and hybrids

EU
Schwerter: Several species and hybrids, some BS within budget
Elsner: Several species and hybrids, some BS within budget

US
Carolina Orchids, size not stated, $20
Clown Valley BS but $26
Big Leaf ‘mature’ green and red versions, $25

Canada
Paramount: fs $26
Tropical Gardens: Chattaladae $65 (Yes, I know that’s over! LOL)

Time for bed for me....

Wow Rowan - you've been doing a lot of work and research! Nice!

General question: If there has already been a project with Neos, is this still an option?

just a side note. onc sotoanum, one of the parents of twinkle, used to be known as onc. ornithorhynchum. many people still refer to sotoanum as ornithorhynuchum, so just an informative side note.

Cody- Andy's orchids has a lot more rupicolous Laelias you just have to call him.

Bob- Chaz Smith would be a good person to go through. I'm sure he has enough of them for everyone in the US. He has a lot of different species too. Some pretty rare.

Diamond Orchids has four rupicolous Laelias for sale too.

I'm going to try to find resources for the Hadrolaelia group but most here in the US are around $25. I know Chaz Smith sells some of these too.

Oh wow, thanks for doing so much work!!!
For the Neos, normally no, if we follow the usual project 'rules' then we can't repeat a plant that's already been done.
I'm trying to think of some groups of species, so we don't have just hybrids!

As long as we provide one or two that are less than $20, that' fine. If people chose to spend more after, that's their decision! What are some of the species in that group? I can look some up in Europe.

There are six species in the Hadrolaelia group.
Laelia pumila
IOSPE PHOTOS
Laelia dayana
IOSPE PHOTOS
Laelia sincorana
IOSPE PHOTOS
Laelia alaorii
IOSPE PHOTOS
Laelia praestans (synonym spectabilis)
IOSPE PHOTOS
Laelia jongheana
IOSPE PHOTOS

They might be reclassified as Cattleya now. I highly recommend looking at more pics of each species since IOSPE doesn't always have the best pics and many of these species come in other color forms. Miranda Orchids also has a lot of great info on these species. He has a page that explains the difference between some of the species since some look very similar if you are not familiar with them. Miranda Orchids, Orchids of Brazil

Sorry about the misspelling of Hadrolaelia in the first post. My phone auto corrected the spelling.

US-
Santa Barbara Orchid Estate-
L. dayana starting at $17.50
L. pumila starting at $25 (they have quite the variety)
L. praestans starting at $25
L. Susanna primary hybrid between pumila and dayana starting at $17.50
L. sincorana starting at $25

Diamond Orchids (highly recommended by me)-
L. alaorii $20

Europe-
GroBräschener Orchids-
L. alaorii EUR 21.00
L. sincorana var coerulea Flowering size 1 year EUR 27.00 (around $50 in US)

Orchid Species-
L. jongheana BS £24.99

Schwerter-
L. (pumila x praestans) 'CT Little Red' EUR 12.95

Elsner Orchideen (not sure the size since I couldn't read anything!)-
L. alaorii EUR 21.95
L. jongheana EUR 9.50
L. praestans EUR 19.95
L. sincorana var coerulea EUR 19.95 (at least $50 in the US)

Nardotto e Capello Shop-
L. alaorii BS € 18,00
L. (alaorii x praestans) BS € 18,00
L. pumila BS € 14,00
L. sincorana BS € 14,00
L. (sincorana x alaorii) BS € 12,50
L. sincorana var coerulea BS € 15,00 (at least $50 in the US)

Canada-
Paramount Orchids-
L. dayana NFS $28
L. pumila FS $30-$32

I'll keep updating this post with more vendors and choices in each country.
