wow, Bud, your blooms are so beautiful! Congrats!

Ok, here is my update - still 3 new growths looking very young, I'm not sure if it's planning to do ANYTHING this year. This really is a very, very slow growing plant.

Yours is great too! and I think the background is just perfect for those bright blooms!

Thanks everyone for sharing.

I'm just wondering, can I somehow urge my lazy-bone to bloom? maybe it needs more light?
i have one more question- would you guys put your soph in terrarium? (Temp around 73*F day, 65*F night, RH 70-85%)

I wouldn't be worried about the lack of blooms just yet, some plants bloom more in the winter, or even spring. For my previous cernya I gave it quite high light in the spring-summer (red/purple edge on the new leaves) by leaving it outside in nearly full sun, and the low light the rest of the year didn't keep it from blooming.

Yup, no blooms for me. I do have an intense amount of new root growth so Im assuming its going into that phase again. I havent lost any leaves off it though.

So no fancy photo today (no time) but took these two photos with my iphone while watering.

Please excuse the ugly crud in the trays.

Thanks, Camille! I never had sophs before, neither cernua nor any other, so - no experience.
Last night I noticed a tiny dot at the base of the leaf of the largest new growth! And... another new growth? Do they ever stop?

Who would notice crud, Drew, when there is such an attractive viewpoint of your blooms!

Wow, your plant looks so happy on the mount! Nice blooms too. Are they really that red, or is it the camera?
