My little guy seems to be doing ok, there is a new growth coming. I have not noticed any new roots but am so happy it is still alive with this hellish heat.

I took orchid pics this evening, but forgot the Soph! Getting too dark to do it today. There are 2 growths now, growing nicely. And a total of 12 new roots since getting the plant.

I skimmed over the last few pages of this thread as have not been here for a few days....
Guys & Girls the nicest thing about projects is to see pics of all your roots & growths please! especially if you can post pics of when first got & now! So we can all see and compare and give advice if needed....

too bad, for some reason (small, even micro market of my country ) nobody is going to open that specific type of shop. Its cheaper to get special things via internet. The only trouble - first you have to find all information yourself.
That's why I'm asking. Thanks for your help!

Regarding your soph, is it mounted or in pot?

i took some pics this morning. There are 2 new growths, but I can't see any new roots. This year we dont have heat waves, temps are around 65-70F (days) and 50-60F (nights).
(masdies and draculas are happy! )

Took me a while to post these, sorry!!!

Here is little cernua var mineira. The poor thing has trouble with the heat. If I forget to bather her once a day she shows signs of stress... I do hope I will have flowers anyway!

Because this is the good thread for it here is my cernua var cernua. It was gifted to me a year ago as a small seedling. It is still far from flowering and I thought it wasn't fair to start a member project with a plant that is already doing fine, but she is making a new growth and I am proud so here!

And so you can all forgive me here is Gus (the little grey one) and Charlie (my new family member) having a nap on my bed.

Arrr cuties! Are you getting them used to a little gentle grooming? Good idea when they are little with the fluffy ones...

Did you call him Gus because he looks like he's covered in soot? Gus the lovable chimney sweep? He is SOOOOOOO cute! They're both adorable though.

And both your cernua's look great. Congrats!

Very cute kitties! We have 2 new kittens too and sort of the same colours as your Gus and Charlie! Mine are called Matisse & Harry.

Watering my Soph yesterday I noticed I too now have a second growth! New roots growing at the back of the mount.
