I agree with you on this. I mist mine every morning and the root growth has been amazing. The cernua went from having no roots to having several between 5-10cms long.

Kavanaru, I was just wondering this morning if you'd gotten your yellow variety yet - sorry to hear that there's been such a delay. I was also trying to find one of the yellow varieties but could only source the yellow coccinea and I chickened out eventually with it being €120. I would be incredibly upset if I'd spent that much money and still hadn't received it.

So those of you who are misting, is yours mounted? I water mine daily with the Tolumnias. Perhaps I'm overwatering then?

Mine is potted, so I water every 4-5 days, but mist daily. For my previous one which was mounted, I misted everyday (like the other mounts) and gave it a good soak every 2-4 days depending on the season.
I don't think you have to worry about overwatering. If the plant is totally dry within 24 hours, then water every day!

Mine's mounted. I posted a pic many, many posts ago. I think Janice referred to it as 'the soccer ball'. I don't soak it at all - just spray until the water starts dripping off. I upgraded 'the soccer ball' by putting a layer of hydroleca in the bottom of it and I give the leca a good spray every few days. It creates a nice humid environment inside the ball, but the big holes in the ball still allow free air movement. I suppose it's a little hard to describe. If anyone wants to see let me know and I'll try take some new pics this evening.

Hi, don't know if you saw but I posted 2 pics of mine and I believe mine is growing. I am watering it each day. The one I mounted is also growing and i am misting that each day also. Let me know how my pics look and if you think it looks okay. I'm new at this and want to make sure it's really doing okay!
Janice

Well after saying that I didn't think my growth would be visible (I have been naughty and not watered for at least 5 days!!! instead of every 2) It's actually grown 'loads' for soph standards. I've just put her in for a mega soak.

Paul, thanks so much, I look at it and think, "Hmmmmm....just looking and hoping"! LOLOLOL When you say that they are "slow growing" you mean it!
Janice who would love to see it grow faster and flower sooner.
