That's a shame Bob. If space was the issue it wouldn't be a problem (they are little...) but money...

Oh well, maybe we'll get a phal for the project next time.

Meanwhile: having moved some orchids onto the livingroom shelf during what I thought was a nice overcast period it's now gone really bright (and hot... phew!). Everyone seems OK, but my cernua is getting some really pink colour. Anyone know if this is OK? I'm thinking it's just the sheath dying back. The leaf had the dark stripe already.

Looks fine to me. Agree it just looks like the outer sheath covering dying back. This always worries me at first, but you get over it quickly.

The purple stripe is what you should be aiming for, they love high light.

hi, guys!
I hope its not too late, but I'm going to place my order to Orchids&More for the project plant. Sorry for this delay.

Hope your plants are doing well!

I ordered my cernua from Orchids&More and received a plant with plenty of mechanical damage, this seems to be standard from this particular vendor if I've understood things correctly, so I would recommend you ordering your project plant from Elsner for example.
