LOL, I have no excuse, I'm 3/4th of the way through a 4 day weekend. The only thing I did was water orchids....

My Soph isn't doing anything, but that's no surprise considering the abuse it went through. I've been spraying the top of the substrate everyday since it dries out very fast and I've also gotten some extra lights for it. Let's see if it'll do or die. If it dies I know whom to blame - a certain idiot armed with a pair of scissors. I wonder who this mysterious person could be?

I totally agree. I'm very satisfied with all the plants I got from her; no major mechanical damages (barely any minor as a matter of fact), good root systems and well established plants. I regret I didn't order my project plant and the Phal. stuartiana from her, but now I know better.

Hi, I am going to try to upload my pics of my mounts that I did today of my TC of my Project plant. Hopefully this will work. I also got the second choice plant and mounted that also. Please let me know what you think since this is the first time I have attempted this. We cut the cactus skeleton with a band saw which worked great and hopefully, this will show.

Hi Mutant- Your plant probably is adjusting from being taken off its mount. In my experience orchids can have a hard time after being removed from their mount especially if the plants roots were attached well. That's more likely than from the leaves being cut off. Just give it time, good light, and keep misting it. It will start to grow.

The window picture has a vanda soaking in water?(glass vase half full with a ceramic pot inside where the vanda is soaking) If you plan on doing S/H method, you must use LECA clay pellets...and have a heat matt under it...vandas dont like cold and in the first few months the roots must not touch water
I was just alarmed at looking at it

* I love the way you mounted your plants. Your cernua is a happy and healthy plant

Default Vanda in "water"

It is in a clay pot with moss and the water does osmosis in. That is one that will go into the basket. I don't like it in that pot either but it arrived and that's what I had. It is doing quite well though. LOL
