Of course, yes, it's more likely to be just throwing out the odd second leaf. If it was to flower with more than the usual number of flowers though that would also suggest a hybrid between the two cernua varieties.
Just idle speculation...

If the plant put out more than the usual number of flowers it still wouldn't for sure mean it is part var mineira. The plant might just put out more flowers than the average cernua.

Hi one and all, I just got a new computer since my other one died last week. I had to go back and re-read a lot of posts on this board and boy the plants look wonderful. Mine are doing great also. I have to mount my second project tonight and hopefully that will go well. I will take pics and post as soon as I am done. I missed all the information and conversations!

Hi all mine arrived yesterday; looks like all growths have already flowered and it has 2 'new' thick roots. Here's a photo.

Thanks Bud, I particularly looked for a mounted one. I hope I can get it to grow a new growth and keep the roots in good condition.. Camille it's from Elsner.

Soaked mine today. It seems to be perking up nicely. The mount has been taking right at two days to dry out when the humidity is around 65-70%.
