Really? Great! I'd only looked at it briefly and thought the texture of it meant it was brittle. I'd really like to try to mount a Twinkle on a piece of it. Time to put those hardware store rebate coupons to good use and get myself some power saw

Really??!! I thought this is a seedling that will flower in the next two years LOL...
I am glad Chaz Smith is selling near specimen and not just a four plant cuttings...
You did good Camille in suggesting Chaz Smith...he is an excellent seller and grower.
heres the chaz note:
"Culture on these is easy- If in a south window, it would need a bit of shade, or be back from the window. Water 1-2 times a week as it dries out, very light fertilizer- I use Osmocote, but only 2 to 3 pellets in the spring. This plant is the size that it would do well if moved into a basket so it could climb over the edge and grow around. The pot could just be set in there, and let it over grow it if you wanted. Also, good air movement helps. If it is in an air conditioned area, care should be taken that it doesn't dry out too fast- humidity trays would help."

Bud- These plants are small but all of the plants everyone has received are blooming size. Since a lot of people can't believe how small these plants are, it will be interesting to see everyone's reaction when they bloom. The flowers are tiny!
Here is a link describing the differences between the regular cernua and the var mineira.

@WynnDee...thanks for the link infos...its just that I am always thinking this plant would be like the Sophronitis coccinea I have posted that have bloomed 4 inches flowers and grows to 5 inches in maturity...the cernua is merely 2 inches and is blooming size....its unbeleivable!
@Josh...I got several sizes cholla from Arizona...I can easily cut it in half using a 'coping' saw using an anvil vice both horizontally and vertically if I soak it wet overnight...
I also stuff it with coconut fiber laden with small pellets of charcoal, lava rock, treefern shards and clay
I noticed that roots easily take to its surface and gets established easily

Thanks for the info! I think he had posted it in the suggestion thread or other. I can't take credit for suggesting him as a vendor to use, someone else did!
And yes, this is a tiny tiny species. Everyone seems so shocked by the size of it, though they are all nice sized plants! At least it doesn't take up much space!!

Right...I love that it is taking very little space on the window sill, yet it is a beautiful plant even without the blooms yet...I cant wait to see the flowers on my plants.

Seems a bit slow to update even after the package was scanned. My tracking is now at 80%, and only just telling me now (midnight) that the package was getting prepared for delivery at 11:38 this morning. So it should be here tomorrow! Think I'll go to work late, since packages usually arrive early morning.

Well, I'm still at 60%. Not sure why because it's moved!

The percentages are more general. 60 to 80% seems to be everything between arriving at the export center in germany and arriving at the local distribution platform in the destination country.
