That is such a great looking mount! And great mounting job too. Good that cholla very hard to cut, your mount should last a long long time.

Great looking mount.
Josh, That looks fantastic. I just ordered another project plant because I want to try to mount one. What did you use to cut the cholla? I have a piece here and wow, it does look like it will be difficult to "gnaw" through! LOL I really like the way yours came out. I'm going to use your pictures for my tutorial, if that's okay. Will post when finished. Thanking you in advance.

I actually had to use a hand saw. A hack saw kept getting stuck it in. If you have a clamp, I highly suggest you use it.
My next mount is going to be a NOID phal that has a keiki. Im going to give it a few more weeks of root growth before I detach it though. That one is going on a nice Y branch though.

Looks great!
My parcel has gone up to 60%. I'd sort of assumed it wouldn't move till morning, so that's great! I guess it's waiting to get on a plane right now.

That is a good idea Janice. Then you will find out which way the plant grows best for you. I have one potted and two mounted. One mount has moss and the other doesn't but I think I am going to add some moss to the mount that doesn't have any. It will be interesting to see which way works best! I have always grown these potted until recently when I mounted one I had potted. Let us know when you get your new one. Where did you buy it from?

Josh, sounds great and thanks for the information. Rowangreen, I'm getting a charge out of following the percentages for the deliveries of your plants! Nothing like that here.

Hi WynnDee, Al's Orchid Greenhouse in Leesburg, Virginia. It is coming tomorrow and of course, its TC is the Bat Orchid! Love the unusual. LOL I am excited about trying to mount this one. I figure that I might as well try it and see how it works out. My husband made a neat stand for the mounts and I will also post a picture of that too when I have it mounted and hung up.
