Root Hormone Advice
Hi one and all,
Great advice from you all and I am thankful for it all. I have never used any so I was sort of "out of the loop". Hmmm....will have some on hand if I need it and I can see where it would be handy for new plants and those in need. Thanks again for the advice.

I would think that a Mason jar over the plant would kill all air flow to it.

Mason Jar
Josh,
I should have been more specific! Not a mason jar or a bell jar but a short glass such as a drink glass or vase glass. I'll post a picture later. I do have 3 very small orchids under a bell jar though and you know the humidity is wonderful in there. I am keeping an eye on them and they are doing wonderfully well. I never did give a thought to air being cut off because air does get in there. Hmmmm...good point. I use a viperarium (sic) in the winter to keep out a lot of cooler air though.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will take more pics this afternoon and post them for you to take a look at and tell me what you think.

I have also heard of people having deformed flowers when they use too much SuperThrive or KLN. I have never had a problem with that before myself. But I only use KLN on newly potted plants to get them started and only a little bit when I fertilize. I read something from Ray somewhere (I can't remember where) that a few drops of KLN per gallon is okay to use as a routine dose.

Do it Janice! Lol
I use ST on the orchids that need it. It has done wonderful for two of my phals that I nearly killed. In moderation, it's shown its usefulness to me.

"In the glass"!
Hopefully, this will come through. Here's a picture of my project, after cleaning up roots, etc...in the glass with stones in the bottom for humidity. I will post the others in a few.

Bell Jar
Josh,
Here's the Bell Jar with the 3 smaller orchids. Notice the humidity in the jar. You can't really get a tight seal.

Wow, that really is like a mini terrarium. I'd imagine the humidity is around 100% in there.
