Hopefully I've started the order process properly! Bit complex with getting the off-list plants from Schwerter! Are you ordering from them too? If so hopefully we'll both be getting our plants about the same time!

Yes, I'm ordering from Schwerter since I would like to try growing in a netpot this time instead of mounted. It will be easier to transfer from a pot to netpot than to rip a plant off a mount. For the off-internet plants, they told me that you simply add them in the comments section of your order, and then they will send you a second bill for those. So this would mean that you pay your order online minus those plants, for now.

Nope, didn't pay for the first order (did put details in comments), and now have an email confirmation with full details and price. About to go see if I can get payment sorted now...

Sophronitis cernua (Project 14 - Spring 2012) Male
Default Timeline

so it seems that now is the time for new roots to develop, I am getting quite a few. Are the bulbs already set for this year or will new ones develop ? Is flowering off new bulbs, as in cattleyas ? I see quite a few of the old flower stalks ( dried up ) on the outlier bulbs. Mine is recovered, I have no moss backing against the mount but I have the time to mist almost daily. It does prefer to be dry imo as it has responded well to the dry/wet regime.

Well hopefully mines sorted and paid for! Not too painful, though I did have to set up a new PayPal account: looks like it's been so long since I used the old one that they've deleted it, lol.

This morning I did go through to the point where it sent me to PayPal, at which point it got confusing as it was in German, so after clicking around and confusing google translation for a while I just left it. Looks like it was OK though: I think Schwerter have closed the original order and set up a new one with the added items. They are actually down as rather expensive orchid clips, with a note at the bottom saying what they really are! It also gives their email address to use for PayPal.

First time I've ordered orchids online, and it's a fair sized order, so I'm hoping it's not too slow and I'm in when it comes!

There, I ordered from Schwerter!!! With several TCs.
Soph cernua will be traveling with:
*Dtps Liu's Berry
*Phal Bronze Maiden (schilleriana x mannii)
*Haraella odorata
*Den aberrans

And since I don't want the box to be lonely in transit, I also ordered from a Dutch grower, Claessen Orchideeën.
*Phal parishii
*Gastrochilus japonicus
*Sophronitis mantiqueirae

I don't know how I will find space for all of these! At least the spac issues are temporary, I will be moving in a few weeks and the windows have extra wide windowsills!

LOL, I know! But I've been very reasonable with my orchid shopping this year, I only got 5, and 1 of them was a freebie. I also had a 10€ discount at Schwerter because of a plant that arrived in very poor shape last time. So I could add the Den!

Normally they ship tomorrow, or possible monday, and in general I get them 5 days later. For the dutch grower he ships early in the week, with next day delivery. I wish Claessen had the cernua, because Rik (the owner) is so nice, we always have nice discussions. Since he had no cernua he offered the mantiqueirae instead, at a good price. It's NBS which is fine with me since it's a late winter bloomer anyway.
