I'm taking mine off of the mount and putting it in a basket with my Orchiata mix.

mine appears to have stalled - no new roots or growths.
I hope it blooms this year but it doesn't seem likely. It seems as if its a general rule that if you allow them ( orchids ) to carry a seedpod, they don't bloom the next year or they bloom out of cycle.

Mine is taking a break and there isn't a seedpod. It is growing quite a few roots but no new growth. The cold, wet winter hasn't pleased many of my orchids...they are still waiting for summer!!!! Stupid weather!

Great reading what has been going on with all your plants everyone, Thanks for updating! It would be really cool to see pics of them all at your different growing stages, as you know mine died a while ago, so I really enjoy following evevryones posts on growing this plant.

seems as if mine is waking up with the cooler temps overnight.
Lot of new roots.......and it looks as if there may be 2 or 3 growths. The growths part only happened in the last few days.
I looked and saw I posted on 17 August. A lot has happened in 2 weeks !

Lots of roots - front and back. Only 2 new growths.
You can see tiny growth in this photo

That mount is really nice orchidsarefun! And what a happy looking soph.
I'll post pics of mine later, but it's doing fine. Predictably working on new growths for this time of year, but three this time instead of two. So I'm very pleased with that.

Mine has finally established! After lots of time growing roots then having them die back, I've now got a good few strong roots. The growths it's been putting out since I got it have actually been getting smaller (and just the two...) but I've now got a new one well on the way. With better roots to support it I'm hoping this one will be bigger (looking good so far). Will try and post later if I can find the time! I have an out of pot picture as I dropped it again... That was a few weeks ago though and it seems to be OK from it.

Our spring this year lasted until autumn and my soph just wasn't doing much...growing roots but it didn't put out a new growth. I was a little envious of everyone else who had crazy growth. Just looked at mine today and I am finally getting a new growth! In addition, some of the older growths are also putting out new growths! I am so excited! I tried to take pictures but my camera is older and I couldn't really see the growths in the picture.
I admit, after all this time, I still don't know exactly what I am doing with this but it does persevere and for that reason, I am fond of it. I will try again to get a decent picture.
