Thought I would post this here too.
My S. cernua pods are all ready and was packing these up to send yesterday so took a quick photo. Flowers were pollinated on Nov. 15. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8367/8...0e056178_z.jpg |
Somethings going on with mine. Fingers crossed I think it might be starting a new pulb. Not sure yet though. The one pulb I've grown since I got it is still smaller than the previous one, but not too bad considering the root problems I've had. It still has several fat pulbs so fingers crossed I'll get roots properly established this time!

Ok fingers (and toes) crossed for your plant!!! :) I'll ask my plant to send positive vibes over to yours. After all they came from the same place, so they were probably flask mates at some point. Sibling telepathy! lol.
Mine's happy as a clam. Final verdict is 3 growth, one of which is already half grown. There are a bunch of new roots popping out now too. |
Fingers crossed! The phal cornu-cervi I got the same time I've finally got to grow a good root! Paph venestum is growing a new leaf and of course my Wine Delight produced one early flower! I recently lost the two max picta seedlings though: they were going down hill and repotting turned out to be the final straw :( I don't seem to have much luck with maxs!

Well, my fish bowl idea is working great. I've only had one longer aerial root die off and its actually spawned a few new tips from older bulbs.
Still no new growths though. |
I can now confirm I have a new growth starting! It's also starting some roots, so fingers crossed it will soon have a proper root system!
|
Still haven't seen any new growth on my plant yet, but I just pulled the last seed pod off this week. Hopefully in the next few months I can report the same this as you Rowangreen!
|
LOL, you are complaining about lack of growth when you have seed pods!?
|
No, but it kind of sounds that way! Oops haha
|
took a close look at mine.
Lots of new roots from the base of 3-4 tiny new growths. Probably 1 root per new growth. Fitting into the typical pattern in that growths will mature over Summer and then flower into Fall/Autumn. I am going to outdoors the mount probably towards the end of March. I noticed that the plant just loved the Spring and Summer rains. |
