That's wonderful! Congrats!
Well, my two new leaves finally opened up and there is nothing there... Well, guess we'll see what time brings.

Still tons of root growth. I need to soak the mount tonight so I'll inspect it closer. I have around 6-7 new root nubbins.

Thanks Natalie. I am so thrilled that it bloomed. I just changed the growing medium to orchid moss a few weeks ago. In fact, that is what I am using for most of my orchids and I really like that medium the best.

Congrats on the blooms! Very nice shade of red, I like it better than the somewhat orange colored blooms though. I don't think the change in medium triggered the blooming though, they were induced well before that. Good luck with the moss, I'm curious to hear how it'll do. cernu usually prefers well draining mediums, or mounting.

I grow one of my cernuas in sphagnum moss and it grows great. It is in a small clay pot so it dries out quite fast. I love sphagnum as a medium too!

I really like the moss. I have also been trying various watering techniques with all my orchids and have one of those watering meters. I now have another Dracula that is blooming. Even though this has been such a tragic day here in our country, a little light is shining in my sunroom.
