Wow, the hyperbole's really a-flyin'!
I don't think we're exactly talking anarchy here... I absolutely agree that Camille is doing a great job organizing this project and that it would be very rude to undermine her efforts.
However, Janice stated her intent to join early on in the polling and it's easy enough for her to vote. What
specific trouble will it cause Camille or anyone else for her to do so? Isn't it basically just a matter of adding her to the list at this point (as in clicking edit, typing '42. pasojanice-- USA' and then saving)? Or even just leaving her off the list, letting any votes she casts stand, and leaving her to choose her own level of participation in the project the same as everyone else?
And isn't having everyone PM Camille their votes going to create a heck of a lot more work for her than just using the automatically collected poll results, whether or not they're 100% accurate? It's not like this is actual politics with lasting consequences here, people...
But hey, it's you all's project, run it how you please. I generally think it's great to include people in group activities especially when it would be easy to do so (not just talking about forum stuff), but I'm certainly aware that many don't share my sentiments on such matters. Maybe I'm just a big ol' hippie!
Now I think I've wasted enough time caring about this silliness already...
You all feel free to be offended by anything, everything, or (preferably) nothing I've said!
