That's not good. Are you having to stay out of work for a long time again?
I looked up your Catt suggestions, and C.luteola is so cute! But I only found it at Grobraschner, for 27€...

I can't find it anywhere in Canada, so I don't know if it's even worth looking up.

How about Phal parishii? IOSPE PHOTOS
CAN-- Paramount $26-28
EU-- roellke 12,50€ Claessen 15€
But can't seem to find it in the US...
IOSPE and Orchidwiz both give it as a warm grower in habitat, but I used to have one (died back when my orchids were badly neglected) and it did very very well in intermediate temps. In fact, from what I've just read on internet, it can take night temps down to 15°C with no problems, and generally does fine in cooler temps.
Another one: Sarcochilus fitzgeraldii IOSPE PHOTOS
CAN- Paramount $25 (but limited quantities)
EU-- Akerne 15€ (BS) 10€ (NBS)
USA-- SBOE, but it's starting at $25
botanica ltd, a little bit over our price range, $22.50
Den. moniliforme IOSPE PHOTOS
CAN-- Cloud's $20
USA-- Andy's $16
EU-- Akerne 15€, Claessen 15€

I was thinking of suggesting Prosthecea Cochleata too. Again, saw a specimen at the RHS show: the actual plant was not too large I think, though it does have quite tall flower spikes, which might be pushing the limit? Not a problem if people don't mind vertical height!
Very widely available I think... I got a young one at the show!
There's a common hybrid called Green Hornet which is apparently larger, so don't go on that.

Oooh, I really like the Sarcochilus fitzgeraldii! It's "only" 2.50 USD over the price range. I'm sure the members living in the US won't object to that. :

You can also get a lot of varieties of Den. moniliforme at New World Orchids.
I just bought 3 from Glenn today (he was the speaker at our meeting.)
