Poor little pig. Hope he's okay!
I checked the lists on the two sites and made certain the plants I will vote for are on them. I know how life can be. You deserve to be a part of this.

I also had completely forgotten that in May I will get my holiday bonus along with my salary, so maybe I'll just wait until May to get the plant. And I'm also going to a local show on May 12th, perhaps I can get it there.

Well that's good at least!
Let the voting begin!!

My little piggy should be fine. He has a nickel sized patch of bare skin on his chin, and there is a crusty, scaly layer of dead skin over it. Probably fungal, but since the drugs can have side effects the vet prefers to do lab test to be certain of what it is.

Thanks Camille for putting the Poll up! You just have to participate even if you buy later on!!! (You've done this before anyway )
I really hope your pet gets sorted out without having to go back for more treatment as I know vets are very expensive! although I completely agree that pets definitely come before orchids!
I don't mind buying it for you and posting it to you for when you come to France next.
Capito? or as they say in US films ...Capish
So you JUST HAVE to partiticipate !!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: point a la ligne

But unfortunately for me I think I may to sit out on this project, unless the plant is available in the Netherlands, so cheap shipping for me. I just took my guinea pig to the vet for a skin issue he has, and the consult and skin scrappings for the lab cost me a huge chunk of cash. And that's not even including whatever medication he will need when the results are back. Pets come first, but I'm bummed, the timing couldn't be worse!

I had totally missed this! I hope your little rascal is okay. Pets are expensive but they are worth every dime! Ask me, I know - spent the previous X-mas and New Year with Pelle and Prillan staying at the vet during different time periods - Pelle with epileptic seizures and Prillan with bloody diarrhea and vomiting... It cost a good bit of money, but they are both fine (now a year later) and luckily Pelle has shown no signs of any more seizures since.
Oh, I have to vote now!

It's just that vets are so freaking expensive here compared to France! Our last piggy, in France, was taken to the animal ER in the middle of the night, spent over 24 hours in intensive care, had an x-ray, other exams, and it cost us around 80-90€. Today's 10min visit cost me much more than that. Back in October when he had a malocclusion of his molars that cost me well over 500€.
But when you love your pets, the costs don't matter!
Is Pelle under medication for the seizures, or did they entirely vanish on their own?
