Yes, us Europeans are spoiled when it comes to orchids! While it's very true for species, for hybrids it can be difficult to get some that are considered common over in the US. I'm so glad that we can freely order from different countries (other than the shipping fees, usually 20-30€ if not ordering in your own). That's how the US and Canada SHOULD work!

I'll look more into the Dens tomorrow night, right now I'm on a time crunch to finish a journal article for which the submission date is looming...

Best of luck with your article and remember to prioritize you studies before this project (ha. ha. ha. Look who's talking... ), I bet we are all willing to wait till you are done.

Don't worry it's almost done! I need to give my professor draft number 86563476628757 (at least it feels like it!). This is normally the final polishing up of it, and with any luck it will be published by the end of the year. It's a review on plant defense mechanisms.

I just got a Den. harveyanum at the society sale table. It is indeed a nice smallish plant and has the cutest yellow blooms with fringes on the petals! Considered a very desirable and sometimes hard to find plant from what I've read. So it would make a nice project plant if it is available.

Nope, not even! I finished writing it a few weeks ago, but I had lots of corrections to make for today, since I have a meeting with my professor.

Well, I have to squeeze some quotes into mine, and then it's done. The problem is, this is all that has been left to do on it for about a week now!

Camille, on the other hand is a good student, and a good Member Projects coordinator.

Good student? Then you don't want to hear about the essay during my master's degree that I turned in well over a year late!

A PhD program is different, I really WANT to be doing what I am doing, and I can do the writing during the day at work, and not at home in the evening like is normally the case for student assignments.

Seeing how many of the orchids were difficult to find in the US (only one vendor for some), we might have to do a two plant project since there are now 30 US participants. The other option is to, after the final poll, go down the list and take first plant available in sufficient amounts.
