My Enc. cordigera is a medium to small plant (unless it grows much bigger later). If the spike is the only tall part, then doesn't that eliminate a lot of the Phal types and possibly others as well?

I had kept the 'rules' from some previous project, so plant height max 12 inches, 16inches with spike.

Two other good sources of plants in Europe! I just realized they are not listed in the first post... They have a lot of plants and good quality!

I completely forgot about Orchids and More! But I had intentionally left off La Cour des Orchidées because very few of their blooming size plants are under 20€.
Since you are online Ramon, do you know Hennis Orchideen? It's on the list on the first post (must have been added in a different project), but I've never heard of them, so no clue about the quality. Because they have some orchids that are nowhere else in Europe, that would otherwise make the list.

Looks like you posted while I was typing. I guess Cordigera remains on my potential TC list *G*
Thinking we have a fabulous list... It would be nice if we could make it 20!

Hennis Orchideen... I had completely forgotten them... I ordered once from them (quite a while ago!) and the plants were very good!

That's good! I think there are 2-3 plants then that were just missing Eu vendors, and Hennis has them. Now to remember them, I don't think I wrote them down...

Oh, excrement! I asked about this fellow on Slippertalk after reading (on Orchids Wiki) that it requires a dry period to spike, and if what the guys over there say is correct, it needs to be kept cold during the winter period. What does OrchidWiz (?) say? The reason why I asked is because I was thinking of getting this one whether it wins or not so I really hate to question its place on the list...
Why is it always the few I like?!

I can tell you what I do :-) my plant has a light reduction in water as most of my Paphies, and never goes below 16C in winter, and it grows and blooms... That's why I recommended it and would not mind adding a second or third clone to my collection...
