I want to say that vitellina was a finalist in some of our other polls, so it indeed could be a fan favorite. I'd vote for it.

vitellina was my #1 last year, and im rooting for it again this year!!

Encyclia vitellina is on my wish list too. But Orchids of Los Osos only has 2in pots for $15. I don't know if that is big enough to be blooming size. They have a 3in pot but for $50! SBOE has it starting at $35. So far I haven't found it anywhere else. Maybe Andy's? Sometimes you have to call him to see if he has it. He doesn't post everything on his site.

I was going by Orchidwiz and Iospe for the temperature requirements, because that's the only easy to access resources we have to go by. Looking at growers websites likely gives more accurate info, but it's even time consuming to do for a list of 40 plants.... But if you want to re-add some plants to the list, that's fine, I'll move them over this evening.

As for B.nodosa, I'm not sure if we should include it. Project plants are always small-mini orchids so that people with space issues can still join. If we allow B.nodosa (which can get massive), then we have to allow Lycaste aromatica.

LOL. I'd vote for allowing B.nodosa if it meant allowing aromatica.

If you read what I wrote after the name, you will see that I put it there because I was unsure if it needed a winter rest or not.

I have this one, and agree it does well in intermediate temps. I'll put it on the 'maybe' list, if we can find it elsewhere in the USA for less than that.
