Bud--
Thanks for sharing your growing tips. That is very helpful. My plant is young & is growing new leaves. I hope that it continues to grow & eventually flower.

My humidity is between 26 and 37 on most days, but I also fill a sink with water 2 times per week and submersed it for 10 to 39 minutes. I've got mild root growth I guess as a result of that.

@Pedidiva, Amarillo, TX is humid and hot in the summer...infact you have long warm months than the east coast...you can hang your plant under a tree (11am to 3pm is the sunlight that burns leaves on orchids except Mokaras and some Dendrobiums)make sure the shaded part is well chosen.
I have 50% humidity in my apartment due to my 2 gal humidifier that is on 24/7 and I invested on a digital temp and humidity battery operated machine.
I make sure my room temp is not lower than 75F in the day and 55f at night....the city mandated our landlord and updated our building with temperature/climate controlled digital box beside every door; for AC and heater (of course that gave them the reason to up our rent)...
discover a watering and fertilizer regimen for both you and your plants depending on your grow zone, room environment or sleeping and waking skedules...
time your vacations when they are having their rest periods...so watering and fertilizer can be put to just a minimum
15 days was the longest I was away ...and I will never do that to my plants EVER!...now my holidays are a minimum of just a week ...

My Trichoglottis has plumped out and is no longer flat as a pancake. This winter it grew two new leaves and some new root branches.

I don't think so. It was too demanding with water and I was too lazy. I'm surprised it didn't hit the bucket sooner!

I'm sorry Bob, but I do get fitting your plants to your needs as well! For me, I'm loving it! It's a bit of orchid chores/enjoyment before heading off to an impossible job.
