Hopefully its available in the US, and its a Brazilian species, so hopefully its available there as well!
Well, I am dumbfounded! I went through 25 Google pages for it...and another 10 with just Octemeria...and can't find it listed at a vendor in the U.S.! This is a first time occurrence in any of our OB projects!!

Dendrobium senile :

This charming little miniature Dendrobium species is well known for its characteristic hairy pseudobulbs and leaves. They only grow to a few centimetres long and are also deciduous. The plants are grown well mounted as this allows them to dry out regularly, which they benefit from. The flowers are produced on short stems in a lovely buttery yellow hue.

IOSPE says warm to cool growing, so its temperature tolerant?

And its scented! Bonus!!
I can't find it in Canada
Don't know about Brazil

Also couldn't find any Barkeria in Canada

Think it's too big:

Encyclia fragrans

...or has the potential to be, anyway

Jasen, you keep picking these plants that have me drooling!

Sue, I like the ones that you couldn't pass in a room full of flowers, without doing a triple take!

Couldn't find any info online about this one but according to my Botanica's Orchid Species book it's bulbs reach a height of 20-28 inches tall and is an Intermediate-to-Hot grower...

that wouldn't work for a number of our members.

Too bad 'cause I love it! It's like having Den spectabile in a smaller version (but still too large for the project)
