Well it turned out to be 2 spikes instead of 3 but I'll take it!

Mine only has the one spike which is nicely developing and should not be long before the flowers open.

I think mine has two spikes.

There is new root growth all over, but specifically two new roots were growing from either side of the stem about half way up (above last year's spike). Now each of those roots has something else growing beside it and I'm pretty certain it's a spike on each side. Here's hoping :

That would be great if it were spikes!! Mine would also grow the spikes next to an existing root, so yours sounds promising.
My replacement Gastro should be arriving today, or maybe tomorrow.

Well that sounds promising then! There are a few new nubs I'm assuming are new roots around the bottom few leaves. Hope mine follows your experiences!
