That's exactly what made me order TC's even though I shouldn't spend so much money. I thought, well, I could justify paying this much in shipping for three plants, but not for one

Lol that's good logic. But when you are 15, you don't even have the extra money to get Tcs with. Maybe I will be able to mow another lawn sometime.

Bob, why mow a lawn when you can give blood. Amazing how much money you can make working at a hospital just by giving blood for various projects/experiments.

Wow, I would sign up for taste tests at that price. But I probably wouldn't like any of it. Not a real McD's fan.

I hate needles!!!
Taste testing for mcdonalds. Interesting. I'd do it for $25
I applied at a local garden center and the gh manager said she would put in a some good words for me. But that was almost a month ago. So I don't think I'll get that one....
Sorry for hijacking

If I tried to subsidize the orchid habit with McD's taste tests, I would likely pay out more for Lipator than I got back from the taste tests. I'm told by my kid sister that the real money is in brain scans. You let researchers stick your head in an MRI machine while they flash pictures in front of your face and they pay out gobs. Not sure if I'd go that far to underwrite the orchid habit... but maybe for the right orchid...
In case there are others like me who've never heard anyone actually say the word, I've learned that it's pronounced "GAS-TRO-KILL-US", not "GAS-TRO-CHIL-US". I hope someone already knows how to care for these little guys. Anyone want to post a culture sheet to this thread? Or an orhcidwiz snapshot? I have one coming in the mail, but haven't the foggiest idea what the cultural needs are. Does that make me a bad orchid custodian?
Can't wait for the spring project to begin!

I was going to eSnipe bid on it to grow side by side with the japonicus I am getting, but I won't if someone here wants it. I have a good bonus coming this year and a really large list so it would just be a side order.
You should get it and see if it blooms like japonicus or if it is the flabelliformis like I think. Maybe he posted the wrong picture reference? You never know.
