Thanks. I will say the fresh sphag is keeping moist much better than the old stuff. I only had to water once yesterday as opposed to 3 times! Yeah!

I really need to get to the local greenhouse and find something new to mount mine on. I have a bunch of wild grape vine but it is still green.

I discovered that PetSmart and other animal stores (as long as they carry reptiles and frogs) have cork boards and rounds, among many other options for mounting as well (such as various types of wood). You might try searching there as well.

Hi Everyone I think I've got my first re-spike. However, the slightly odd thing is that the spike is coming from a point lower than the last spike and I'm sure it's not a root (unless it's one that is forming in a different way to the others!). We've got terrible weather here today, so it's too dark for a photo, but I'll try and put one up when I can.

Could be that your plant skipped a leaf last time it bloomed, so decided to bloom from there this time.

My Gassy is about to get a new mount. It is a root monster and I really don't like the look of the mount it is on. Plus the roots seem to be letting go of the old one. I will post when finished.
