This is what I woke up to this morning! I love orchiding.

I know they're not all open yet, but I wanted to post a pic in case it took a turn for the worse before it got fully bloomed. If they all open up, I'll post another pic set.

It's not 7 per spike, but it's not dead either!

Awesome! How quickly do the buds appear obvious on the spike. I've got one spike that is about 1/2" long now, and wondering if the buds will show soon or not. Thanks

You should be seeing round buds forming real soon. My spike was about an inch long with 3 tiny balls around the 20th of May. My buds opened June 9.

Mine is almost an inch long now and I can barely make out small little balls. I can definately tell where they are going to be because there is a bit of a branching effect going on.

If your plant acts like mine did, in about a month you'll have flowers.
Today I noticed a very slight hint of citrus. The plant is outside so the fragrance could be stronger if it were indoors.

Mine are still growing. I think the heat may have slowed them a bit. It has been HOT here!

I'm just hoping that I survive the heat wave. I don't even want to go outside.

I am getting more root growth. The newer roots are bigger and whiter than the ones it came with. I am assuming this means it is happy here.

Got flowers! The last one opened yesterday, had a very faint smell - it seems to be more fragrant in the evening.
