Nice work Joann, and I see you have a basal new growth coming as well. Keep it up!

I am hoping for a scent but nothing so far. We're in for T-storms tonight and tomorrow so maybe when the sun shines Saturday they'll have a scent.

Thank you, I really can't take credit for the blooms or the basil growth, both had started when I recieved the plant. I am very glad neither died off as it was pretty chilly out when I got it and most of the leaves look like crap.

From my understanding, they can take near freezing temperatures. Is that wrong?

Really cool Joane
Paul, I remember that they can go fairly cold, but I'm not sure how close to freezing. I had one over last winter and I left it out in the greenhouse until about late October. I was keeping the greenhouse at a min 5C over the worst of the winter (well most of the time anyway) but I don't think this got that cold. I left it out longer than the Oncidium is about all I remember.

Oh my, I've been checking information on so many orchids recently I've got them all mixed up now, lol...
The Baker's data shows monthly averages go into the upper 40's F during the winter months, but no lowers. Glad I checked and got that straightened out!

Very cool Joann and luckygrower! look forward to seeing more pics as more buds open!
Has anyone sniffed any scent from their's yet? and if so @ what time of the day? I keep on sniffing mine but have not detected anything as yet... Having said that they are absolute beauties nonetheless

Mine had a scent, but it was very faint. I think it was around midday that it was strongest. No more blooms, but it but out a basal keiki!
