Wow, I go on vacation for a week and I get back to find that there are pages and pages of posts to read in the voting thread and here!
It's too bad that although I put a lot of work in the project I won't be participating since I got my Gastro as a TC to the Maxillaria project in september. Mine is happily blooming now. The first spike finished blooming last week, and the second one is in full bloom.
Here' s a pic of what you get to look forward to! Gotta take a pic of the second spike (with more blooms than the first) this week.

Beautiful photo Camille! and wonderful to have 2 spikes! Does it have a scent?
mine from last year has a developing spike.. so I am patiently waiting for it to develop & flower. I love these just like the Haraellas so I will get an other one, this project is a good excuse for it as well as a few TC's...

Camille, that is unfair. You did so much work and now don't get to participate. Yours is very lovely.

Awww, Camille it's too bad you aren't participating! Your Gastro is gorgeous! Here's hoping everyone's will grow and bloom as well as yours!
Melissa, that phrag is beautiful!
Dave, how much convincing will it actually take. Do it, Do it, Do it.

oak hill it is then for the plant just had them at the recent show and they had some nice looking plants. bought a ghost orchid from them that fell apart on me after a week ooops ..havent done that in a long time..looked good when i bought it. made me feel sad knowing hes driving around with these in his truck, alive and well. I take mine home and kill it in a week..I only assume the plant we voted for is much easier
kind of missed the idea of a project and did my own thing last time with the plant purchase..I still remember that too well...still nursing the plants to boot.
but okey soon I can get mine. these are fun to do and keep me busy ...busy watching plants grow is

Camille, I'm sorry you won't participate in this project. You and Rosie more than anyone else deserve the fun of it. But your photo is such an inspiration to all of us! What beautiful blooms to look forward to! Thank you for all your amazing work!
What plant did you hope would win?

Thought I would share my somai I bought from Andy.
I'm going to grow this next to my japonicus so we can see the difference in the two.
