It looks like even without the SBOE options we still have 23 approved orchids to choose from. I don't think anyone could complain about that. I think if we have many more its going to get really overwhelming.

I agree if everyone is game. I will have to go back through the list and see the ones I haven't seen yet.

OK, we're going to have a deadline of Midnight (PST) Sunday Night for final suggestions.

First part of next week Camille and I will do a final check over the plants in the suggestion list to ensure they fit criteria including vendor prices, blooming size etc.

As soon as we have finished that we'll post the first poll, in which everyone will pick their top 10. We will close the poll as soon as everyone in the project has voted, or a week after it starts (whichever is sooner).

Once we have the results of the poll we will be contacting the vendors to check numbers they have in stock for the top 10. If we find their answers deplete the list too far we will ask them about some of the others further down the list as well.

We will then have a second poll in which everyone picks their favourite.

At some point we may have to decide to split the project into two plants due to the high number of participants. If that becomes necessary we will let everyone know how this affects the plans.

Hope that all makes sence... so get those final plant suggestions in, have a look at the suggestions and start making your choices... and be ready to vote
(I will PM everyone again when the first poll is up).

I'm in Utah, so I don't think it's a problem although I've never ordered from them before.

hope this helps

Thanks for all you are doing for this project!

I believe Seattle orchids is a member here to. Incredibleorchids. I believe.

I'll have to look up some warm masdies if I ever get done homework! Some can take higher heat into the 90s. There is an older ob thread that I'll try to dig up. Of course that's if I get done homework

I am in Louisiana. But dont let this hold anything up. If I can get the plant selected good but dont hold up the show just because I cant get the plant.
