No, I'm not a teenager either I guess I wouldn't mind dropping a decade, but I don't think I'd want to go all the way back to my teenage years.

But surely any teenagers here are wise beyond their years! I mean, anyone who starts growing orchids while still in their teens must be very smart indeed! I'm comparing that to my own squandered youth. All those years living with no orchids (if you can call that living).

i have all mine in my room, and my mom is wondering what to do when i go off to college.

I'm sure you could find plenty of volunteers here who would be willing to 'adopt' all your wonderful orchids when you go off to college.

thats the problem! i live them soo much, id never want to get rid of them.. maybe just borrow some.... im hoping the will be able to be some kind of arrangement made with the school i go to ( ideas? ) all i know is i want to get a degree in hort. or ornamental hort. ( preffereably)

There a couple orchid nurseries here in San Diego that will "babysit" your babies for a small fee!

I was into cacti and succulents when I was your age - they do have the advantage of surviving on parental neglect!!

Umass, where I practice, has an excellent horticultural program, and (drum roll please) they have greenhouses!!
