While I was at the WOC they all opened, and it looks great. I'm sending it to a show in Madison Wi. this weekend can't wait to see how it does. Thanks for looking Jim.

Wowzers! :yikes: You da man! :bowing It's stunning! Do let us know how it fares at the show. I can't imagine you wouldn't come home with some sort of ribbon.

Well the sad news is we couldn't get our plants to Madison this weekend for the show because of bad weather, heavy snows. So now I have to try it in good shape for our show in two weeks, not sure how long the blooms last, so wish me good luck. Thanks Jim.

Sorry to say, Jim, but the rhodosticta blossoms don't hold that long. Even in my orchidarium they're all sort of yellowish (the ones that haven't fallen off). I have read the Aerangis blossoms in general last 3-4 weeks max.

Jim I think you can keep it in good shape. Mine bloomed just before Christmas and it still looks pretty good today. It's dropped two flowers so I know it's on it's way out. If yours just fully opened I'm sure it will be fine for another couple of weeks. Here's the way mine looked last week. :goodluck:

Terri, ours bloomed around the same time, and I lost my blooms a couple weeks ago, and they did have yellowish tint to them after a while, but the yellowish tint never showed when I took pictures. What growing conditions do you have yours in again? I am growing mine in my orchidarium with good humidity and good light and mine was also potted. As soon as the final bloom fell off last weekend, I mounted mine on a slab of cork with a bed of sphag moss and coco fiber. Now I will have to figure out if watering once a day will be enough for it now that it is mounted.

I'm not being nearly as nice to mine Becca. It's in a basket hanging from the top rack with the rest of the chids. I've got it up with the Phals. As soon as it's done blooming I'm going to take it out of the sphag and pot and plant it in the basket in some fine coco mix.

WOW! How many flowers!
Congrats Jim! Good luck in the Show! Mine have only two flowers and more 4 buds! Aerangis is the laziest orchid I have!
It lost two buds (arrows), they became white, than black and fell. Excess of humidity? During January, we had rain all the time! Moreover the plant seems healthy (new leaf and new roots).
