I don't how I missed this thread but I did.
Congrats to both with blooms!!
They are gorgeous.

My project plant is angry I guess it doesn't like living with the Phals.

November update The spikes are still elongating, however the back buds are developing. Also a new root emerging as well as a new shoot (below the new root in the photo).

Here is a link to my updated picture:

I have two new roots growing, the new leaf I had growing hasn't been doing much lately. The spike....well it doesn't look as long as the spikes Ross has on his.......maybe mine isn't getting enough light? My spike now has buds developing on it, so I am sure it is done growing in length.

Becca, why not try moving it a little closer to lights? I am sure yours is in orchidarium, correct? So humidity, or lack of, shouldn't be an issue. Mine sits approx 10" away from 20,000 lumens (1600 foot-candles)

Default Spike is growing!

The spike in my Aerangis is growing (slowly, but growing!) and surpasses the edge of the pot
Of course no signs of buds!

Woohoo! Grow grow grow!

I moved mine closer to the lights. The buds seem to be developing still...but progress is being made! I really expected the spike to be much longer then what it is....probably around 5 inches if that.

With the apparent slowness of the developing spikes for those plants that arrived in spike, I am almost dreading the wait for mine to spike and then flower!!

Hope you guys get to see flowers soon!

There could be another develop. I had two on mine when received. My son (the care-giver while we were away) accidentaly snapped the longest one off. It developed a second which has caught up with the first. Perhaps the spikes we had when received were slowed down due to shock?

My Aerangis citrata has a spike over 10" long and is starting a second. Still no buds.
