Steven,
I am so glad yours adjusted to the s/h! You are very brave! I can't wait to see future pictures once it is fully adjusted!

Wow Elke! It's gorgeous!!! Keep taking pictures. This one looks really good. Snap one when that last bud opens.

Actually, I like this one without the last bud open because it shows the form of the flower better. This should be cropped a bit left and right to make a format suitable for a calendar page (I forgot the specs Marty posted for this year.) This has lots of interest with that bud in contrast to the blossoms and I personally would vote for this image if it comes up next year.

Project 4 - Observations
If you care to post observations during your growing period, why not here?
For instance: I started with 2 spikes, my son, in error, broke off one, the second has become the dominent spike followed by a new spike. The dominent spike has been growing (lengthening) at a rate of approx 1/16" per day! All this is occurring along with additional root development and elongation of a new leaf. For the record, mine is mounted on grape vine stick, in orchidarium, under relatively robust light (similar to Haraella) and high humidity/high moisture/constant fertilizer.

Thanks, for the advice, it was tough keeping if from drying out, with 90-105 temps outside this summer, and I did have it on a humidity tray, but dang.. things get dry here quick. So another question, since I've been AWOL for a bit, the root is healthy and strong and a new leaf is emerging. It's in a clay pot the way I recieved it. Should I keep it in that pot, with cooler weather coming, or should I repot it into a plastic clear pot with spagh. I have a Dpts. that has been very happy with that set-up in my growing conditions. The spots have not spread, btw. Thanks guys

Has anyone that got a plant without a spike, now have a spike?? I seen there was a winner for those who had spikes when the got theirs. Just curious since I think mine has a spike.

OOOOHHH!! Look at that! How cool, Julie! I've just been over mine with a 'fine tooth comb' - and no spike, yet....
