Is that the first fully open bloom on the ones that received the plants in spike? A winner?

Yes, Steven - a winner!! On this side of the pond!!! I hope Elke's good example sets a precedent and we also get the first flowering from a non-spiked plant.

Seeing the flowers, I can't wait to see mine bloom. Hey, Terri, send me some of that magic dust as well!!

Elke...I was thinking about how beautiful your orchid is and thought it would make a great entry for next year's calendar contest. Make sure you take a landscape shot of it now so you'll have it when the time comes
