Shakkai brings up an important point about "companion travelers" or "side cars". . .you are not going to end up with just the one "project plant" LOL

Sooooo, you might want to get started now, saving all your coins. . .to be ready for the next project.

Or if you want to, you could go ahead. . .cause you're likely to do it anyway, later. . .and set up an Exo-Terra orchidarium. You'll love it.

*insert* evil laughter

Hope all those project plants are doing well!
Someone (I'm sorry I can't remember who) was going to build a terrarium for the Aerangis. Did this work out? Could we see? I'm thinking of doing the same and would love to see your project for THE project. LOL

Sorry I'm late!

Here is my project info:

1) potted or mounted - Mounted
2) open or in orchidarium -Orchidarium
3) indoors/outdoors - Indoors
4) approx amount of light (shaded or bright would be good enough) - bright direct am, bright shaded after
5) Approx temps-70-75 daytime, 60-70 nighttime
6) Approx humidity-75-99%
7) watering and fertilizer regime- water when drier, MSU 1x week(not alot of misting).

Extra note: I've had to twist the hanging mount to the left as the spike was growing against the glass...

Hi all! Just back from 2 weeks in Hawaii. (I know, but somebody had to go! ) My son house/plant sat while we were gone, and I'm happy to report the Aer. is doing just fine. It's little spike is now about 2" long. I left mine in it's pot but put the pot in a hanging basket with sphag stuffed around it. The sphag gets daily misting to help keep the humidity up around the plant. So far so good. Still watering with distilled water and DynaGro.

Better latte than never! This will be an interesting comparison - good idea Ross

My options are limited, so this little baby will either love me or hate me:

1) potted or mounted came in a pot, stays in its pot!
2) open or in orchidarium Open
3) indoors/outdoors indoors (office)
4) approx amount of light (shaded or bright would be good enough) 1000fc by my meter. In indirect south window light.
5) Approx temps 70-80 depending on the air conditioners ability to deal with the heat of the day
6) Approx humidity about 35, but I keep the slip pot around it filled with water to help
7) watering and fertilizer regime a weak"15-30-15" every other week
