I am not sure if I could provide that amount of shade for it in my orchidarium.
I plan to hang mine about 10-12" below the lights. That's just a hint

Of course that distance all depends on the intensity and heat put out by the lamp, right?

Correct. I have 4ea 48" t5 florescents and all the shady loving plants are from 10" to 18" below lights. Dendros are approx 5-6" below lights.

Default Project 4...The Next Phase

Hello Everyone,

I received my order from ParkSide nursery yesterday.
Yeyyyyy
All the plants arrived in great condition and the packing was super.
One of the TC I ordered is ANGREACUM LEONIS which Im a little concerned about. The plants leaves are shriveled. :
I have never seen that on any of my plants so I don't know what it could be
Why would it's leaves shrivel? What should I do? I watered it as soon as I took it out of the box. I went on line to find out more about the species but there in not much on it. What are the growing requirement for it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maria

I was wondering when folks would start receiving the new 'chids
Mine will be here tomorrow.

Go to Parkside's web site and email Tom or John regarding that one plant. I know they're going away for a few days on Saturday, so if you contact them today you should definitely hear back quickly.

My order was waiting for me when I got home from work today!!

I've already unpotted it and mounted it on a piece of cork, I want to get it established as soon as possible - and of course, played with my TCs as well! Will post photos to the gallery shortly...

All of the plants were really well packed for the travel from Germany. Not a leaf out of place. I'm very happy and will definitely order from them again. Thanks to badlydrawnboy for recommending the European vendor, Schwerter Orchideenzucht

I ordered mine last monday (I was out of the town last week) and I'll receive it personally next tuesday (the nursery is my city - I prefer this way to receive the plants poted, not bare root). TC's will be BLC Oconee "Mendenhall" and BLC Chunyeah #17. L. lobata coerulea is sold out! (unfortunately for me, but fortunately for my pocket!!)
