My max is growing VERY slowly. I think it needs more light. We are getting a set of t8's for my orchid stand but they haven't come in yet.....I'm growing mine in bark. Is this what everyone else is growing in? Should I repot or do they not like to be disturbed?

Mine's in bark and seems quite happy about it based on how well it's growing. I think light is the issue, but I only get early morning sun. I'm ordering a 2x55w PL fixture, hopefully that will help since 1x55W doesn't seem to be enough to bloom.

I have the yellow form with my phals and it's not growing that much. The red form (my project plant) is in my greenhouse which get's much higher light and is growing really well.
I think light could be the issue for low growth, although I'm only basing that on my two plants.

I agree Rosie, since moving mine into a much brighter area a couple of weeks ago, it has started to grow much better. I am not going to get blooms this year but at least now I know this puppy needs light!

Thanks! for the info,
I'm going to try move mine too back to a higher light window as 'summer' seems to have defnitely ended here for this growing season.

Nenella, mine is still outside for about another week or so. I have it on the South side of the porch and it is getting direct sunlight from about 11:30am to 5:00pm. I have not burned the leaves and the silly thing is putting out new growth.
