Bob, I'm hoping to move out of student housing within 6 months now that I have a job with a nice salary, and I am not joking when I say that the main criteria for my future apartment is that it MUST have south or west facing windows! I'll live wherever the orchids will be happy. Trying to grow on a north-east window, even with some extra light, is just not fun at all.

I'm not getting any blooms but pretty good growth. I finally decided it is a light issue so moved little max from the east side to the south side of the porch. The plant is now getting direct sun and seems to really like it. I am so surprised it hasn't burned, but it hasn't bloomed either.

Mine has taken very well to s/h but has still not yet bloomed. Whenever I see new growth, I usually have to wait a week or so to tell if it is just another bulb or could be a bloom and so far...all bulbs
Getting plenty of light for sure though!

Realised the only ones I had were from a year ago. So Hubby took some more for me
It does not actually look like it has grown that much BUT last year it had three new growths (now matured) and now it has 11 new growths
The second pic shows the mount best. It's falling to bits though and definitely needs a new one.

Thanks for the pics! Good luck remounting it, doesn't look like it's going to be easy to get it off this one.

No. I think I will break off the loose bits of mount, then stick the remainder to a new mount. Because of the climbing nature of the plant it does not seem to need much support, I just need to have a mount I can move around without it falling to bits.
