mine is developing 8 new bulbs and slowly growing roots too and old roots are growing new tips.
Of course alot of the roots were damaged with repotting to s/h but i expect it to continue.
Do these guys need a winter rest? Dont think they do, seems like all my plants are growing roots and growths like crazy, probably started withholding water too late.

My two are doing very little. Do they go dormant in the fall/winter?

Mine is in s/h and I can see some new root growth but sure nothing to brag about. It is on an East windowsil about 3" from the glass. It does seem to like the light and I am hoping with the cooler weather, it will do something!

When I got mine a few weeks ago it had 7 new growths. If they've grown at all then it isn't noticeable! No new roots either. Seems to be just sitting there, while the phals around it are happily growing new leaves, and my Howeara Lava Burst right next to it is very busy with its 2 spikes.

I've been wondering the same thing, but I'm not sure. I don't think so. However, mine is right next to a cracked window and it's getting pretty cool over here.

Mine, too, is just kind of hanging out. Nothing really to speak of... still looks lovely and healthy, but nothing exciting going on as of yet.

mine is doing just like everyone else's... not a lot. I have seen some new little leaves (like 4?), and a couple new roots that I can see, but other than that, nada. The poor thing has been tipped over twice from my dang cats, so now it is hopefully in an untippable place!
The one I had that broke of a string of 5 pseudobulbs (thanks to Torpedo that kitty! rrrgh), anyway, I stuck in water and it has sent a root out at the bottom next to the lowest pseudobulb, and is about an inch long. iLike!

I guess I need to get another pic of mine MT...its got lots of new shoots. I was kind of hoping in the hanging basket the reeds would eventually get long enough and drape over the basket..WELL they just getting taller and not "breaking" over like I thought they would. Tuff little canes they have.
I have another MT that doesnt grow much since I took it off the mount after almost killing it..I just cant keep the humidity up for mounted plants and I be honest I got very tired of watering them 3 or 4 times a day...So mine project plant is doing okey. Im not thrilled with it, but its not causing me any pain either and thats just as good.

Max tenuifolia is not the sort of plant that will elegantly grow over the side of a basket. These guys like to grow upwards, forming a column of bulbs. Mauro has a gorgeous specimen plant which is a fine example of what I mean:

okey so its not going to elegantly hang over the basket...it stays in the basket..its just a pot with a hanger on it..tHe basket is just a pot that hangs
I might need a longer hanger though as it is going for the ceiling out of the basket/hanging pot....I might need to tie some little weights on the reeds....oh oh xmas lights
and you show me a plant grown in orchid heaven..shame on you
heres mine now in the corner in the hangin pot.
