Thanks Bob.

Mine is staying about 59F at the momment so it's OK. Still not sure if it would grow more if I had it warmer. I'm going to leave it where it is for now.

I Look forward to 'knowing' what everyones different scenarios give (indoor/outdoor etc) Mine does not seem to have budged.. that I can see. I do try and keep her on the humid side and she's in front of a W.window, no new roots above the medium to be seen. I've been checking under the dry 'sarong' parts at the base of the p/bulbs..and nothing for now.....
the p/bulbs look the same as when I got it - with v. slight wrinkles.

Ours would seem to have the same temperament!
Mine is in a SW window and keeps asking for the SPF 15, but showing no sign of growing anything.

Hi all! My little Maxine is doing wonderfully, although I'm not sure if she's getting as much light as she'd prefer (this pic. though shows the morning light she receives from her East window). I had to put her on her own plant stand that the cat could not get on instead of the table where she was getting eaten by the darned cat. RRGH. She seems to like it here though. I have seen some new roots here and there, and her pseudobulbs look alright, not full full, but not severely wrinkled either. I hope I'm watering her enough, and I mist once or twice a day. Question though... I had one set of bulbs break off from a cat walk by, how do I propegate those? Right now I just have it in a little water, but I'm not sure if this is the correct method?

I had this happen when I re-potted and gave the bulb(s) to a friend. I'll have to call and find out what going on with that.
Starting one in water sounds like it's worth a try....keep us posted please.

How about trying it mounted. My Max is mounted and I'm finding it easy to care for.
