TC is 'Travelling Companion'. Whenever you buy a plant mail order you have to have travelling companions so they don't get lonely. I remember someone saying you can't get just two plants either because they may not get on, and you can't get three because two of them might gang up on the third...

My Hubby says it's just an excuse to buy more plants... I try and tell him the real reason is most places charge the same shipping for a few as they do for one, so it's all a matter of sharing the cost but he still thinks it's just an excuse and he's probably right

got my MAXI. some cool TC's
1 ea. Paphiopedilum lowii
1 ea. Paphiopedilum sukhakulii
1 ea. Paphiopedilum Jean Francois Pasteur

so not only do I get to play with my Forum project..I get me some spiking pretties too

I should have ordered 1 more with the FREE shipping..

I was trying to save my money as it seems I won my bid by 5 dollars on about 60 delenatii 'Pink Magic' X S. Gratrix 'Golden Slippers'... we could sure use a paph member project....I have no clue what to do with these...

Oh you got a Paph. lowii! I'm so jealous! And I'd offer to help you out with your 60 delenatii, but I killed the one had a few years ago. It seems every time I try to grow the mottled leaf paphs, with the execption of one, that I always get a rust color pitting on the top and bottom of the leaves and it pretty much kills the plant over a slow period of time. I've tried using Physan 20 to kill it, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Matter of a fact, I have a mottled leaf paph trying to beat it now!

What's this... orchids that need homes? I have a lovely porch and plenty of room now that we have a house.

That would be a really good idea to have a Paph project, and then you could provide for the plants in the US, even though it is a hybrid.

Why don't we do projects with hybrids?

normally not, but only because it is easier to find a species in all countries than finding the same hybrid... you could start a USA Only project if you are going to use those plants...

the Paph cross mentioned above will be a fantastic hybrid... especially, keeping in mind where it comes from...

Default my plant came in today, roots will come tomorrow

my order came in today and I will refrain from saying anything too much until I'm not feeling so caustic. There is a problem here that you cant see Ill put it that way and I wait for reply from mr (unnamed orchid vendor) and see what they are going to do. I'm sure they will take care of this slight problem. I only have one of them. How many do they have?

A sad day that should have been a good day might still be hoped for tomorrow
