Today is sunny so I just took some pics.
I got these on Wednesday and I gave the max a quick watering and just did it again now before taking the photos. Do you think I need to water more often? as I noticed have little creases on p/bulbs.
Thanks
I have also taken shots of the TC's

I also have a Ficus benjamina in a 3" pot with a plastic bottle on top and is developing aerial roots. I am no bonsai grower, I just did some research. Seems the bonsai pot is the last step.
Anyway was wondering is there are any orchid bonsais.
Some miniature orchid in a small shallow pot. I was even tempted to buy at the hardware store some Lava rocks sold for barbecuing [yet lava rock, just larger than the ones sold as orchid medium maybe 3 - 4 " pieces]

i dont know how you could make a orchid bonsai. i dont know of any orchids that will take on that shape or have a woody stem. but, orchids are a good candidate for kusamono. like a mini phal or other minis or a neo. falcata.
i would just like to state, that i know my hibiscus isnt that great, but its a work in progress
i have lava rock from the garden center, its a good size, and i like it. but i think the ones you can get at lowes are too big. i was looking at them the other day. plus, is it treated so it catches on fire easier?

The p-bulbs on mine were far more wrinkled and they've fattened up well with good watering. Mine is mounted so I can water it quite a lot without worrying not sure when it's potted.
Your Gastrochillus looks similar size to mine. Mine has a new spike but I'm not sure if it's growing as I've seen no sign since I got it a couple of weeks back. I've been told they grow slowly though so maybe it's fine.
