I think that different varieties are fine, but Dave might have to confirm that. Trying to stick to one variety might be too much of a problem for Europe as some of the plants are only available in certain varieties in Europe.

Personally I think that if you want to spend more you can, I think the aim of the price limit is to make sure that people are not put off taking part due to the cost. Again Dave will hopefully confirm that.

I found a Phal that I absolutely love, Phalaenopsis celebensis. But I could only find it in the UK and Europe... No luck for the USA....

However, (I think this has been mentioned), if we can get enough people to order from the same vendor, we might be able to get a discount. I believe it's worked in the past.
