Mary explained it for me.
It might be interesting to do a "mini" project someday , where we DO find a cheap ($10-$15) plant to do. We'd be limited, but maybe it would be just as fun. Again, thinking out loud.

thats a good idea. but it might be hard to find blooming sized species to do. maybe it would have to be a hiybrid from one grower. i kind of did that with someone else, we both got phal. I-Hsin sunflower from hausermann's $17 including shipping. but that was a hybrid like i said

It would be fun. But whatever happens, happens. Lol. Now, does anyone have any comments bout the plants suggested so far (question mark key isn't working... lol) It'd be interesting to see what people are interested in.

Well, it wouldn't need to be BS. Just learning how to GROW new plants is an adventure.

I think I'm going to vote for the Den. oligophyllum. They are such little troopers. I think they would thrive in my harsh conditions, and put up with a lot of abuse. They're one of the ones recommended as beginner Dens quite often. And they're adorable!

That one is really cute. I think I'd be happy with whatever is picked.
