Okay, well I'll just do my thing then. Let me know if there's anything I can help with. Thanx.

And if so, add that people should composite their lists, for all of the criteria and discuss availability like I mentioned before.

Patients grasshopper . Lets find out which project is chosen. Although it does appear the Interm. project is going win. We need to allow enough time for other to join. Not everyone here logs on daily. We need to give them time to join.

Hi Mary --
the basic gist of the project is to learn and grow a new plant. Overall, most of the orchids we have chosen people love and all say they are so glad they bought it! It starts out with throwing a post out there seeing whom is interested. AFTER we get all the people who wants to participate (Usually takes 1-2 weeks) Dave will put up another post with the poll (which he already did). Then when everyone has voted, Dave then puts up another thread about plant suggestions. Everyone needs to put in at least one project selection that is available in the US, Canada AND Europe and meet the project criteria. If it's not found in a all 3 places, it's out! This usually takes a few weeks. Then once we have a bunch of suggestions, it goes to another post of another poll and we make a final group selection! Again, this takes a week or two. Then Dave will set up another thread for everyone to post pics and discuss the final orchid selection. It is here that we all share the plants trials and tribulations! Hope this helps. Let me know if ur still confused.

I would like to say that I was completely against the Aerangis luteo-alba project plant, I thought the pictures online were ugly. But I bought it anyways because it was the chosen project plant....and I would have never had bought it other wise. It is now one of my favorite 'chids!

I'm going to stir the pot again. With all due respect, there were several people making plant suggestions on the very first page of this thread and nobody mentions that "some people are jumping the gun" until I make a suggestion much later. The fact that suggestions are made at the beginning of the thread implies that plant suggestions are part of this discussion. I agree with Mary, this has been confusing. I do realize that some people can't handle more than one task at a time and need to have things done one step at a time, but there needs to be consistency and clear communication from the very beginning if that is the desired result. Another thing that is confusing to me is the purpose of this particular thread when there is also a poll asking for votes about having a summer project. It seems redundant and confusing about the purpose of this particular thread. Wouldn't just having a poll been sufficient for the first step?

I do believe the purpose of this thread was just to get a discussion going on a summer project plant....if anyone was interested, and if so, to go to the link provided and vote if they would rather do one or the other. I thought it was very clear!

Thank you Susan! It is especially confusing for those who have never done it before.

The poll is set up in the Polls and contest forum to select what type of project we are choosing. The question as to join is in the members project forum. And if you read the first post, there should be no confusion. I am not a moderator and can not edit others post. I never asked for plant suggestion. So what is, is. adding another thread will make it more confusing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and for some it was confusing. Is this your first? If not, if this was, how would you feel when reading the thread? I think (my own opinion) that if the thread was titled "Summer Project Sign-up" it would have been proficient in avoiding it. Also, everyone understands things in their own way, so I believe that the confusion started because of misunderstandings. With that being said, I'm sure the project will be fun, and it is a really nice thing to have the helpful people here to explain things more in depth.
