soooo... which are we doing or substituting? I'm so confused now... :hmm

I already ordered mine from Hauserman, I also have an order in from Oak Hill .

I have a book, Vandas and Ascocendas by David Grove, that says there are three species of Rhynchostylis. 1.coelestis, 2.retusa, and 3.gigantia.
I hope this helps.

I think we are ordering either or, which ever works out best for us.

The reqirements are about the same. They require less light then regular Vandas, but the need a drop in temp at night.
A drawback of the coelestis is that its flowers last only one or two weeks.

I look at it this way. Everyone has valid reason for not wanting to get a certain species and as far as I can tell they all have the same growing habits. So get the one you feel is the best choice. What else can we do?

I agree too! I think we are all just being diffucult...including me! Let's just buy whatever one we want, or both if it suits you  We just gotta make do with what we have to work with and stop driving Dave crazy! After all, he's done a great job and put a lot of hard work and time into this! So on your marks, get set....go buy some orchids!

Its a very short drive, You don't even have to get on the road. Anyway I think its the most diplomatic way to handle it. Unless you want to start over:shock:
