Ok after 2 days searching (& I wish I had looked at the links for USA,EU,C vendors posted by Sue before!!! ... ) Thanks Sue, it would have been alot quicker but I have finally got there!
There are alot already been posted in this category; but I chose these as they are (a) Fragrant, (b) not ones I had ever thought of before... Some are higer priced esp. in Canada.. which may be cheaper for Canadians to order elsewhere like in the EU? and in the US should be able to get a lower price?
Intermediate & I/Warm category
- Dendrobium aggregatum (Dend.lindeleyi)
USA-Oakhills(15$),Hausermans(20$) & Andys(25$);
EU Nardotto (12.50€);
CA Paramount (28$)
- Epidendrum nocturnum
USA-Santa Barbara orchid estate (25$),
EU Nardotto(12.50€)
CA Orchids in our tropics(30$) & Flora-peculia (10$ & 20$)
Lycaste macrophylla
USA- Hausermans(30$);Seattle orchid Co. (29.99$)
EU Nardotto (12.50€)
CA Orchids in our tropics (45$)
Oncidium forbesii
USA- Santa Barbara (asked for price awaiting reply)
EU Nardotto (12.50€)
CA Paramount (26$)
Rynochostilis coelestis
USA - Hausermans (22.50$)
EU - Nardotto(15.00€)
CA - Le Paradis des Orchidées(asked for price awaiting reply

I'd do the Den. Aggregatum. I always forget if that one is the miniature, or if it's the Jenkinsii....
I keep seeing "TC" in the project threads, anyone mind filling me in on what that means?

TC is a traveling companion. Instead of having your project plant travel alone on the way to your house, many people get a 2nd orchid they've wanted to travel with the project plant that way everyone is happy

I have both Den's and they are both miniature. 1 is a little bigger then the other but still very small.
Your not the only one. this question come's up in every project. TC stands for Traveling Companion. Most people get other plants when they order the project plant.

I love those two! Is it true that they smell of honey?
Ah! I see now. that definitely makes some comments make more sense.
I wonder if TCs help all orchids involved arrive healthier? Might help a little guy coming to frigid CO. If he's like....$5.

I'd like to participate, but due to my upcoming very long trip to the USA, I won't be able to buy the plant until I get back in Europe end of august.
Also I won't have time to make plants suggestions until early April since I'm finishing up my Msc thesis right now. (for those of you who were wondering why I disappeared of OB in the last 2 months, that's why!)
FYI, I'm removing Klinge Orchideeen from the EU search engine (where Phal parishii was found). For one I found out that they don't do mail order, and second I bought something from them at a show last year and was less than impressed with the roots. Plant is now RIP.

Thanks for the heads up on Klinge, unless we can find it elsewhere, I will remove it. Glad to have you join us.

So what happens next? I haven't done a project before. Do we vote? Or do you decide, Dave?

The project is only a couple day old so we wait a few more days and see if any more people join. Then after going over all the suggestion's to make sure they are suitable I will set up each pole for vote. I think we should give it till next weekend at least.
