I like Paphs and Phals, so would suggest for an easy intermediate grower:

Paph. lawrenceanum-$16 BS at Oak Hill

For warm grower I would suggest Phal. bellina-available at Oak Hill for $10, but I don't think quite blooming size. BS may be available at other vendors, but may be more $.

I would assume that these will be available other areas, but don't have time to research right now.

I found the Paph and added it but couldn't find the Phal in Canada.

I'll be doing Intermediate if I can afford it. And I'll let you know that as soon as a plant is decided.

i think i will sit out this one... ive told myself i will not buy any more orchids for awhile, if i bring home more they will be free.

I said i would earlier but i thought it over and ive got my limit right now

I would like to remind everyone, this is a good way to grow something you may never had considered growing before. I got a Haraella for last spring's project and it's been doing great. I would have never gotten to enjoy growing it except for the project. So, as long as your conditions are OK, step outside the box and don't be afraid to try something new.
That being said, I'm with Sue. My little growing area could always use another Paph. or Phal.

The plant I was suggesting is Dendrochilium wenzellii "Red Dragon" (doesn't have to be Red Dragon though, I assume any Dendrochilium would grow similarly as there are some white and cream colored ones as well that are also readily available, I just really like the red one. :-) ) I would also assume that Dendrobium wenzel and Dendrochilium are somehow related but after looking at pictures they are definitely not the same plant.

Just wanted to clarify

Is the Red Dragon a species or a hybrid? We are only using Species plants for availability reason's.
