Thanks for the plant suggestions Chris, but could you let us know which vendors are have it in the US, Europe and Canada as well as the Temp group it belongs in. It will make putting a list together much easier. thanks.

Thanks Sue, I will make a note for that one.
If anyone has reason a plant doesn't work please let me know. I don't have OW and rely only on IOSPE. And we all know how reliable it is.

Ok... some suggestions:
1 Warm
I know this one gets tall but I suspect new plants wouldn't be that tall to start with... specimens are pricey but flowering sized plants are ok, canes are 18 in to 2 feet. Dendrobium spectabile
$25 from Oak Hill Gardens
9,90 € from Orchideen Lucke
1 Intermediate
Dendrochilium wenzellii
Oak Hill Gardens for $14
Another intermediate:
I'm seconding the suggestion of Maxilaria tenufolia... I"ve been entranced by them for awhile now and this would be a good chance to try one out.
Yet another intermediate:
Zygopetalum maculatum (because I can't get enough of Zygos!!)
At Andy's Orchids for $20

Thanks, the first one is to large for this project. The second one I'm not able find in Canada, the Third is good and the last one I can't find in Europe.
Remember to use the links in the first post to find availability in all area's.

I can't offer any suggestions, but I'd be willing to participate if I could find one at a vendor near me, or cheap online where shipping doesn't hike up the price too much.
eta: I realize not being able to suggest an orchid nixes me from the group. :X
